Skybox / panorama
Skybox generator
Paint the sky's layout on a grid: where the sun sits, where the horizon runs, how the colours change. You get a 2:1 equirectangular panorama whose left and right edges are made to meet, so it wraps into a skybox without a seam.

Every picture on this page was made for it: a starter template's sketch, one line of description and an art style, then the same finishing steps as your own results. Nothing was retouched.
After you generate
A built-in image editor
Open any result under “Edit assets”: layers with blend modes; rectangle, ellipse, lasso and magic-wand selections; levels, hue and temperature; filters, clone, text and a history panel. Saving adds a new version and the original stays. Layers, selections, clone, text and history are in the pro mode, which is free.

One-click style unification
Put the assets in one project and give it an art style. One click then repaints every 2D result in the project in that style, and runs the project's 3D models through the de-AI pass with it. The AI mode costs 5 credits or more per image, with the total shown before anything runs; the free offline mode evens out palette and outlines only.
How to make one
- 1Create a “Skybox / panorama”. Pick a sky type (day, sunset, night, storm, space, underwater and more) or describe your own.
- 2Paint the layout: the horizon across the middle, the sun or the moon, the bands of colour. Left to right is one full turn around the viewer.
- 3Generate. The result is stretched to exactly 2:1 and its side edges are joined.
What you get

- Price
- 8 credits per image with GPT Image 2.5 Flare (about $0.21); models that follow the sketch start at 1
- Time
- 22–35 s per image in the runs on this page
Good to know
- It is an 8-bit PNG, not an HDR. As a backdrop it looks right; as a light source it won't light your scene the way an HDRI does.
- The top and bottom rows of an equirectangular image are squeezed into a single point. Keep detail near the horizon: a cloud painted straight overhead will pinch.
- The workspace wraps the panorama into a sphere you can look around in, so you can check the seam and the poles before downloading.
Questions
How do I use it in Unity?
Import the PNG, set Texture Shape to Cube and Mapping to Latitude-Longitude Layout. Put it in a material with the Skybox/Cubemap shader and set that material as the skybox in the Lighting window.
And in Godot?
Add a WorldEnvironment, set its background to Sky, and give the Sky a PanoramaSkyMaterial with the PNG as the panorama.
Can I use the results in a commercial game?
Yes. Our terms hand over whatever rights we hold in what you generate. Each image model also has terms of its own, so look at the one you picked, and a result that looks like an existing character or logo is still that character or logo.
Does the file say it was made with AI?
Yes, in a machine-readable tag in the file's metadata. The picture itself isn't touched.
